After earning her BFA and MFA in printmaking, multi-media and site-specific artwork, she worked for several years as an art handler and as the registrar for the Santa Monica Museum of Art in Los Angeles, CA. After a period of time, Gretchen took a detour into the world of business, finance and accounting. Working for almost a decade at a CPA firm, she became a CFP® and an EA eventually starting her own company, Golden Mean Financial Services, as a way to serve artists and other creative entrepreneurs. In addition, Gretchen completed a certified coaching program through CTI to become a CPCC coach, working with individuals and businesses to create a strong financial foundation to support their dreams. Gretchen is thrilled to now call Santa Fe home and when she’s not working she can be found on the many trails in Santa Fe, enjoying hiking or running. If she’s not outside getting fresh air she’s probably busy creating in either her kitchen or studio.
